Project Control provided construction planning during the Tender and Delivery Phase of the construction of a new 10 level private mental health facility in St Leonards, Sydney.
The clinic included 112 inpatient single private rooms with ensuites, 24 specialist consulting suites, a pathology suite, Electroconvulsive Therapy and Trans Cranial Magnetic Simulation procedure rooms, indoor and outdoor dining areas and onsite café, large outdoor therapy spaces, wellness areas, art therapy room, private parkland and outdoor terrace as well as massage rooms and a large gymnasium with in-house personal trainers. The building also features 2 levels of parking with 139 spaces. |

The Calvary Mater Newcastle Hospital is the first hospital in New South Wales (NSW) which was built, maintained and operated by the private sector under a 28 year Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement between the NSW Government and private sector consortium partner Novacare. |

Project Control worked with the McCloy Group on this significant health project for Newcastle NSW. The hospital was McCloy Group's biggest building project, and is now the main hospital for the Newcastle & Hunter Region.
Construction commenced in 1987 and was finished in 1990, 12 months ahead of schedule, despite some $7 million worth of damage in the 1989 Newcastle Earthquake. The project was built to a high standard, winning in 1990 the NSW MBA Excellence in Building Award for projects in the category of Public Buildings $20 million and over. Overall a great result for Project Control, McCloy's and Newcastle. |
